Once again another article about children suffering because of family breakdown and alienation.

Why is it so difficult for government ministers to see what an enormous problem this is, it doesn't take the best brains in the world to understand that if you have children growing up in a society where it is totally acceptable and in fact the norm for them to have little or no contact with both their parents that children are confused, unhappy, sad, angry and unable to fulfil their potential.
Whether we are children or adults we all need to feel secure, safe and loved, it is a fundamental human right.
Society has to be built on firm foundations, if it isn't the foundation crumbles and falls, pull out the bricks of family stability and society breakdown.
Of course we don't live in a perfect world where everyone gets on and lives in permanent state of euphoria for ever. Things happen relationships break down, but it doesn't mean that the cancer of alienation has to follow.
Children must not be used as weapons to be used for scoring points they need to grow and learn without the restraint of trying to be the 'child-adult' and attempting to be counsellors in their parents lives.
They are our new society and need the emotional tools of stability to be able to continue to cement those bricks of foundation building for future generations .
