Grandparents Day October 6th.

"Nobody can do for little children what grandparents do. Grandparents sort of sprinkle stardust over the lives of little children."
Alex Haley -

Grandparents Day originated, as so many of these 'days' did, in US. In fact they celebrate it on a different day.
Obviously those of us who have grandchildren missing from our lives it is a bitter sweet reminder of how we are missing these very special people.
Of course we don't need a named day to remember we all remember every waking day.
Maybe you can change it to be Grandchildren's Day and light a candle for them all, spend some time thinking of those happy times, of smiley faces and twinkling laughter. Those memories are real and can never be eradicated.

So for all of you, enjoy your day, however you choose to spend it, and remember you are also special.
