It is so easy when you get bombarded by articles and reports with negative and aggressive content to fall into the black hole of desperation.
We all have a story to tell, a point of view and a need to rant, but it is a fine line to get the balance correct.
I will leave it to others to continue in this negativity.
So where does BGSG fit in ?
The clue is in its name, support.
I too have at times started banging away about the rights and wrongs, the blame game and there are times when it is necessary, but for me it is important that members of BGSG get the support they are looking for.
It is also vital to me that I remember why I first started on this group, the fact that my granddaughter is estranged from her Dad and from her extended family, and I had to do something. Something to raise public awareness and to keep the issue of denied contact in the public eye.
My granddaughter deserves to have our story told, the reality of denied contact.
The ethos of our group always has been one of hope, one of tomorrow will be better.
Whatever we are facing today we can face together with others who understand and care.
There is no momentary gain, no political gain, no control from organisations, just a concern for each other.
